Crimes against human dignity are crimes against humanity
Golda Meir said that terrorism was making Israeli children into killers. As Israel became addicted to violence and denial, its children paid for that addiction with their innocence.
Sufficient years have passed since his military service that Bijou can hold a "truth and reconciliation commission" with himself for what he calls "my crime against human dignity" while in the IDF in the occupied territories
I wanted to capture that moment, when Bijou allows himself to consider the past for which he wants to forgive himself and the parents who sent him there.
I asked him to pose for me and live again some of his anguish, he graciously accepted
